The fields of action of the Pasteur Institute of Morocco are defined as follows :

- To promote and develop fundamental and applied research.
- Contribute to the teaching of biological disciplines related to these activities.
- Manufacture or have manufactured, import and export, distribute all vaccines, serums, biological products for therapeutic and diagnostic use.
- To provide, on contractual bases, a contribution of expertise, biological analyses and advice to any individual, to any company, administration and other regional, national or international institution.
Consequently, the fields of activity developed within this institution concern Scientific Research, Biological Analyzes, Food Safety and Environmental Services, and the Production of Organic Products.

Mission and activities

Diagnostic activity :

The CBM is committed to ensuring the performance of routine or specialized medical services as soon as possible by relying on advanced technologies to guarantee accurate and reliable diagnoses.

Public health activity :

The CBM positions itself as an essential collaborator of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection during periods of health crises and actively contributes to a multitude of programs in the field of public health.

Expertise activity :

Laboratories specialized in the fields of Tuberculosis, medical Virology and viral hepatitis enjoy recognition 
as centers of reference and expertise at national and international levels.

Research and development activity :

The CBM contributes to its prestige both nationally and internationally by publishing articles in well-known specialized journals, as well as by presenting presentations and posters at recognized scientific conferences. The financing of medical research is mainly based on contributions from national sources, such as the CNRST, as well as international organizations such as the EU, WHO, CRDF, and RIIP, among others. The topics covered encompass a variety of diseases, covering both infectious diseases, such as viral hepatitis, tuberculosis, as well as non-infectious pathologies, in particular the various types of cancers and the fields of genetics and cytogenetics. 

Supervision and training activity :

At the CBM, young interns as well as students, whether enrolled in a Master's degree or a Doctorate, benefit from high-level supervision. This can manifest itself in various aspects, whether it is initiation courses, improvement courses, with an educational dimension, or even observation courses.
