Pharmaceutical activities
The Institut Pasteur of Morocco is a public establishment, assimilated to an industrial pharmaceutical establishment, authorized to carry out operations of manufacture, import and marketing of serums, vaccines, products of biological origin and immunological medicines. For the realization of these operations, the Institut pasteur must submit to all the provisions provided for by Law 17-04 for industrial pharmaceutical establishments and the texts adopted for its application. Currently, to meet the national need, IPM relies on the expertise of its partners in the production of serums, vaccines and biological products to offer its range of products which represents a major public health issue.

Sanofi :
- Stamaril - Live attenuated virus vaccine against yellow fever
- Typhim Vi - Purified capsular Vi polysaccharide vaccine against typhoid fever
- Vaxigrip - Inactivated influenza vaccine with fragmented virion
- Verorab - Purified inactivated rabies vaccine for the prevention of rabies before and after exposure
Serum Institute of India (SII)
- Tetanus serum (SAT) - Prophylactic use in people at risk of infected injuries
- BCG vaccine - Active immunization against tuberculosis
- Diphtheria and tetanus (DT) vaccine - Primary vaccination and revaccination in adults, adolescents and children over 7 years of age
- Onco BCG - Treatment of carcinomas of the urinary bladder endothelium
Statens Serum Institute(SSI) :
- Tuberculin PPD - Tuberculin test
- BCG Culture SSI - treatment of carcinomas of the urinary endothelium of the bladder
Serum and vaccines Bharat :
-Equirab - Anti-rabies serum for passive rabies immunization
Bharat Serum and vaccines :
- Mencevax - Meningococcal polysaccharide vaccine of groups A, C, W135 and Y unconjugated against meningitis
- Engerix B - Recombinant hepatitis B vaccine adsorbed against the infection caused by the hepatitis B virus (HBV)
In addition, the IPM is studying the possibility of resuming locally the production of serums, vaccines and biological products, in particular tetanus serum, rabies serum, anti-venom serums, BCG and live BCG vaccines and tuberculin.
Thanks to the implementation of this project, the kingdom will be less dependent on imports and will gain autonomy. A stronger and more reliable local production would also contribute to economic development, job creation and the optimization of foreign exchange outflow.

L'Institut Pasteur du Maroc est un établissement public, assimilé à un établissement pharmaceutique industriel, habilité à effectuer des opérations de fabrication, d'importation et de commercialisation des sérums, vaccins et produits d'origine biologique. L'institut pasteur doit se soumettre pour la réalisation de ces opérations à l'ensemble des dispositions prévues par la loi 17-04 pour les établissements pharmaceutiques industriels et les textes pris pour son application. L’activité pharmaceutique de l'IPM a pour mission principale d’approvisionner le marché national en sérums, vaccins et produits biologiques pour les secteurs public et privé.
