Projet Africain de Génome Biologique

The African BioGenome Project is organizing a workshop on "Biodiversity in the age of genomics", from October 09 to 13, 2023. This five-day workshop aims to establish and connect scientists and institutes that are actors of the African BioGenome project (AfricaBP), create an initiative, raise awareness and galvanize institutions and researchers at the regional level to drive the vision and objectives of AfricaBP. The first two days are hybrid seminar-type workshops focused on the current understanding of biodiversity genomics in North Africa. The other three days are hands-on in-person workshops focused on sample collections, speakers and policy commitments, genome sequencing using several technology platforms, but not limited to PacBio Hi-Fi, Illumina, Thermo Fisher Scientific and MGI-Tech.
