Some media platforms have recently published articles about shortages in the stock of laboratory supplies for Covid-19 detection tests with PCR technology at the Pasteur Institute in Morocco..

Also to enlighten public opinion, the Institut Pasteur Morocco provides the following clarifications: "In accordance with the strategy of the Ministry of Health to combat the coronavirus epidemic (Covid-19), the Institut Pasteur of Morocco, since the beginning of the pandemic, has been carrying out analyzes in the reference laboratory for emerging and dangerous viruses, since it carries out about 2000 analyzes per day".

In this regard, the document continues, "the Ministry of Health continuously provides the Institute with all medical equipment and laboratory supplies regularly and without interruption, via the central inventory of the ministry". The management of the institute also confirms that it has been constantly carrying out laboratory analyzes to detect Covid-19 by PCR technology since the beginning of the pandemic in the Kingdom.
